Compensation
It is the Company's policy to pay equitable and competitive salaries according to sound and formal salary management programs. The salary administration program is related to the job and designed to recognize differences in skill levels and job value, to maintain a competitive level of pay with comparable industries in the Sudan and the expatriate employees' home countries, also to reward individual employees based on their work performance.
Payment of Salaries
Salaries will be paid in arrears, to Sudanese employees in Sudanese Dinars and to expatriates in US Dollars or equivalent currency as determined by the Company's management.
Method and Timing of Salary Payment
Salary will be paid monthly on the last working day of each month.
Salary and Allowances/ Deductions
Salaries and allowances of employees of all categories may be subject to certain deductions required by law or authorized by the employee concerned. Such deductions include, but not necessarily restricted to, authorized contributions to benefit plans, contribution to Social Insurance, Personal Income Tax, (Zakat for Moslem employees) and settlement of personal debts to the Company (loans). Deductions from salaries in settlement of personal debts to others shall not be made, except pursuant to a court order.
Overtime
Consistent with operational requirements, the Company may require employees to work beyond their regular working schedules, provided that overtime work shall not exceed four (4) hours a day or twelve (12) hours a week. In all cases, only priorplarmed and authorized overtime will be compensated.
In all cases, only prior authorized overtime will be compensated.
Executive employees in grade 11 and above are not eligible for overtime compensation.
Employees on full-time off-site training assignments are not eligible for overtime compensation during the period of such training.
